someone mentioned download managers in that post, and i told them i would post the download manager that i use and here it is.

i use FREERAPID, it's the best ever and here's why:

1) it much easier to use than jdownloader, you don't need to tweak any settings at all to get the same speed as a tweaked out jdownloader.
2) very intuitive, solves captcha for you have support for many sites and premium accounts too and the best part is you can just run it off the extracted folder without having to install it!

#3 reason why it absolutely RAPES jdownloader:

ok so last time i used jdownloader, it only had the ability to resume downloads if the server supports resume. so if you are a non-prem rapidshare user and youR download breaks for any reason, you would have to start all over again since non-prem don't have resume capability.

on the other hand, FREERAPID CAN RESUME ANY FILES EVEN IF THE SERVER DOES NOT SUPPORT IT. the reason is that freerapid downloads every file as a it's own format, the "part" format. so a .exe or .rar will first be downloaded as part file and assembleD later when the download is done. this give freerapid the ability to resume any downloads, as it only downloads the missing parts... this SAVED MY ASS MANY TIMES cause i have verizon in nyc and connection breaks up alot.

jdownload works fine as a DL manager but as a DL accelerator, i think it fails.

so back then i was messing around and trying a bunch of download accelators and that's when i stumbled upon IDM (internet download manager). idk if any of u heard of it, but this program is fucking beast! it did not only max out my download speeds, it freaking raped it. this program is easy to use, downloads faster than jdownloader with any of the hassle cause you don't have to tweak anything

i have the verizon 768kps package and download speed normally is at high 80kbs to low 90kbs. with a download manager it would sometimes reach 99kbs but never pass it, that must means 100kbs is the cap. but with IDM, my download speed was at 110kbs. i was fucking amazed. you can integrate into firefox, and explorer too if you want.
