If you see someone that buys one, just ask them for the receipt. I remember a few times i would look for a receipt for a valuble item outside a store, then go in, take it off the shelf and try to return it Made a quick £35 for a game
but won't the cashier have the item code and be like this isnt even purchased, because from my beliefs, I think each item in a retail store has an item code for each item? or is that just me?
please correct me if im wrong, and did anyone else try this scheme?

Just be like for a graduation present I told everyone to get me Windows and this is what I got. I didnt expect it but i have left overs and i dont wanna be rude and ask for the receipts.

so this works with staples?
they dont scan the barcode?
or is it just because i have an innocent cute little face?
LOL
Ive made 1200$ from office 2007 standard and returning to staples... you need to show a valid government issued ID each time, and are limited to two per ID per year, so yea.
One per year actually
I've tried mine at staples, worked 3 out of 3 times. Vista, keyboard, and headset. Many of the times the staff ask a lot of questions, but they usually accept it. Just be a good bullshitter and you'll go through. For those who say giftcards are crap, they're better than nothing. Staples is actually the place that always have free items after rebates, (easy rebates), sometimes with items with no limits. I ordered 11 reams of paper, with a $25 coupon i bought on ebay for $2, for like $46 charged to my gift card, where I got a $60 rebate check sent to my house and redeemed for cash. I basically got $60 worth of paper and $60 for free. You can get so much from Staples that I actually feel guilty.

Ah I so confused can you re-explain this in a more... simple manner. Like step by step process, or PM it to me. I'm interested.
Tried going there and giving MS Office,
all the did was offer me store credit (Staples)
no cash..sux
That does seem like a reasonable result as opposed to them just handing you over 700 in cash loll.. I mean, unless you have a very very careless employee, they are guranteed to ask someone higher up which could end up being the manager.. and from my experiences, the managers are cut throat when it comes to money and the word Free.

If you read what I typed, Staples gift cards are a good form of payment compared to other major retailers. Staples is actually one of my preferred places to get a gift card? Why? Because they usually offer items that become free after rebates. They actually have deals that are Free after rebate, or better. Basically, you make money off Staples after rebates. With a gift card and these types of deals from Staples, you can easily get your money back in the form of a check, where you aren't usually able to if you have a Best Buy or Office Depot gift card.
