I've always seen PayPal as a sort of Russian Roulette the moment you hit any problems. It's all fun and games until there's a bullet in the chamber, eh?
Dealing with high amounts of transactions = Fail with PayPal
PayPal actually does have to hold the funds, encase of a reversal or charge back they can cover what has been done. Even if you provide all tracking, lol. They are only there to save their own asses.
i don't know why some many pplz having trouble with paypal xD just link it to your bank account and social security and have it fully verify ^^
i transfer from $100 to $500 a week with no problem from selling on ebay
I transfered over $3,000 to a dude in the philippines lol and never had a problem(this was for illegal things). Paypal in no way is a scam. If you don't follow the rules dumb shit happens. Sometimes they make mistakes, but if you talk with them like a human being in an email or by phone you'll get your money in less than a day or two. I got scammed for about $800 and got it back in 3 days and that was me being lazy it actually only took like 4 hours. I have verified my account so maybe that makes a difference, but still. Paypal in no way is a scam.
I've never had a real bad experience with PayPal, one time I purchased an item on eBay where I was messaged by the seller thanking me for buying his 'box only' product, which wasn't described as such in the description.
PayPal was really helpful and I got my money back the next day, but I have heard horror stories where bank accounts were froze, but who knows if these hold much truth.
I just hate that ebay and paypal are affiliated, and you are forced to use paypal anytime you sell/buy anything on ebay, yet as a seller you get fees for both listing/selling the item as well as for receiving the money. They end up getting like 15% of your profit.
my experience is indeed that paypal is a scam site and earns money with it, i lost 400$ they limited my acc i sended all my info and they said it wasnt my own info lol while it was i called 5x and no answere at 5th time they hung up
btw what does it mean by having a "verified" account?
that you have a card (credit or debit) hooked up?
thx
Verified = either tied to your bank account or you have registered for their credit card.
As for PayPal being a scam, I kinda laugh at that. A friend of mine handles accounts at PayPal and I can definitely say they look really heavily into shit before they lock accounts. As for not siding with the customer... wtf did you do on your account to make them suspicious of you? Their policy is to always side with the customer unless the account was already flagged for some reason (although not necessarily locked yet). Making regular complaints will also flag you as a potential scammer.
I really don't feel like going through all the stories I've heard to explain just how much proof they need before they can lock an account, and I'm not here to accuse anyone, but if an account gets locked it is pretty safe to say somebody has been doing something on there they shouldn't be.
The only problem I've ever had with PayPal is that sometimes when I log in, it says I need to verify my identity. Usually, they just send me a text message with a code and that's the end of it. Though it is quite annoying; it's happened to me about five times now.
