Default Paypal is a scam?

Well i just realized that PayPal didn't seem to side with the customer whenever there's a charge-back. A lot of accounts that have $500 and above have been put on hold status because of this issue. All i say is money in your PayPal account is not your's. It's PayPal's. They used the money to pay the credit card company. They say they sided the customer but it's actually not true because they are just a private company(not sure about this, can someone check this out?) fighting against a big credit company which of course will lose no matter what. Just type paypal in youtube search box and you can find loads of complaints. And is there any of you experience it before? Let me hear your thoughts.

Paypal workers are like cops, they have to keep a quota of limited accounts.
They screw people over

if it is a issue with a ebay seller, paypal stands with the customer most of the time coz the seller will do anything to stay with paypal as he needs more.
other than tht i personal feel paypal is rubuish. creditcard companies are much better they atleast reverse the payment if something goes wrong. paypay will not deal with refund or complaints other than with ebay and physical good.

Paypal just a stupid company.
Who asked them to inquire our account huh?

Why they limit our account without our willing and customer dispute?
What are they mean by suspicious activity???

Ask them, I know you won't get any good answer. PITY!

If you buy something with a creditcard linked to ur paypal u can just contact ur creditcard company and say that u didnt receive the product. Then they will reverse the payment. Its pretty stupid.

Paypal is no scam because upon registration of your account you agreed with their Terms of Service. It's sneaky but legal.

No problems to date. Even their support was helpful on the phone contrary to what I read online.

I have never had a problem with paypal over 5 years of dealing with it through ebay or any other internet merchant.

However, since I have heard so many people having issues with chargebacks or large amounts of money, I use a temporary credit card for almost any purchase over $50. It helps prevent identity theft as an added bonus.

wow, I'm kind of surprised to hear all the bad experiences. About 3 or 4 months ago my paypal account got hacked and a scammer bought $2000 worth of crap with my account, which then pulled from my checking account, which overdrafted to my credit card, which went $1000 over my credit limit. Also at this point I was unemployed. It was the worst clusterf**k ever.

However, thanks to a lot of help from Paypal and Wells Fargo, everything got straightened out. It took a while, but I ended back up at zero, which is where I was in the first place

I've had no bad experiences. Only needed to file a complaint once, and got my money back.

Paypal has to agree to refund the money even through the credit card company, atleast mines. I received some DVDs that were COMPLETELY different than pictured and described (really, I know I make crazy mistakes, but this was the seller's fault). I returned them with the delivery confirmation number and Paypal would not refund me. I tried a charge back through my credit card, and Paypal would not let the company do a reversal, the creditcard company sent me the actual letter Paypal sent them saying this.
