Default PM Limit

Whenever I try to send more than 5 or so PM's per day I get a message telling me I have reached my limit until I become a more established member. I think when you purchase a sub, a PM limit like this should go out the window. Incredibly annoying, especially when I am paying money to support this site. Just my two cents.

Its to prevent spamming/advertising, someone could buy a sub them spam/advert, their site.

Just my twelve cents.

You must make 15 posts before you can PM at all. Not asking to remove that limit.

Theres a thing called exchanging emails.

Also, why would a person without any posts need to PM? If its for a selling/buying reason then it'd be a little scam suspicious.

What's the point of a Private Message system when I can't even use it? It exists so you don't have to exchange emails. So you can document your transactions on the site you are performing them on.

And see my post above. I'm not asking to get rid of the 15 post PM limit. All I'm saying is if you have taken the time to make 15 posts, and spent your money on a subscription to support this site, you should be able to send more than 5 PM's a day. I do not think this is too much to ask.

The PM limit has been set so users can't register here, purchase a subscription, and spam all the other users with links to advertisements or other sites. If you've read around the suggestions and feedback forum, this setting has been an issue with the boards for a while, and unfortunately we are unable to fix it. It's been installed as security module, and when removed, the restrictions haven't necessarily went away. It's no longer just some option we can remove. Also, just because you've purchased a subscription doesn't make you any more exempt from sending multiple private messages. The restriction will be removed when a solution to remove it is found.

There is no solution, pm's is just another way of spam, remove the limit, and you'll get hundreds of pm's each day, try to find the useful ones in that pile
